Abstract: HCV is a communicable disease which is not only a challenge in itself, but also is complicating the HIV epidemic as a co-infection. There has been advocacy by EMR countries for inclusion of HCV in the programs supported by the Global Fund. Dr Hajarizadeh will review the situation of HCV in the region and provide global and contextual evidence for effective interventions in controlling HCV.
